“Vechornytsi” Cottage

From time immemorial, vechornytsi (evening parties) was inevitably associated with fun, evening singing by youth, games, and rest. This is an element of Ukrainian rituals according to which Ukrainians rested after a hard, tiring day and gathered together for communication, rapprochement, acquaintance, and knowledge. At that time, it was almost the only opportunity for youth recreation. The evening parties always embodied an active, fun, and sometimes spicy holiday with singing, dancing, competitions, and raffles. Often they were timed to certain church holidays, such as evening parties for Catherine, Barbara, and, of course, Andrew. And it was not just such a meeting, but each of the evening parties had its own special game rites, competitions, and songs.
